The Trusty Rusty Tusty made her final voyage in 2024 to Seldovia on December 31, 2024. Always a bit of a scramble, to get the right vehicles on the right side of the Bay before the Tustumena takes what I call "Her Spa Days" each winter. Every season, she goes onto the hard to do all the maintenance and required repairs/upgrades to keep her sea worthy in our ocean seas! We are so thankful for the Alaska Marine Highway Service (AMHS) and the great and continued regular service to Seldovia. In addition to the basic great transportation to Homer, we all depend on her for our vehicle transfers, food, equipment, materials, etc. delivery to our community. We know that plans are in the way for a new ferry, and also there's talk about contracts out secure a vessel for transportation while she is out of service - which could be amazing!
